About Tvillingegaarden
In 1969, Paula & Jakob Kjær Larsen erected a 1,300 m²
greenhouse at Anderupvej 68. Since then, the nursery has been
continuously revamped and, notably, expanded so that it now
measures approx. 28,000 m² of modern greenhouses as well as 14
ha. of space outdoors. In addition, the nursery rents approx.
28,000 m² of greenhouse space from other nurseries. The nursery
employs approx. 30 full-timers as well as 15–20 casuals during
the peak season.
In 1999 Jens Ingemann Pedersen and Henrik Hedelund Jensen became
joint owners of the production company Tvillingegaarden A/S and
in 2006 they took over the hole company.
Tvillingegaarden’s main product is Campanula, of which it
produces several different varieties. It also produces Lavenders as
well as a broad selection of varieties of Hebe. Other produce
includes Cyclamen, Ornithogalum, Selaginella, Aquilegia, Gaura
and Mini Poinsettia.
Gartneriet Tvillingegaarden A/S became a member of Group Unique®
in 2004. Group Unique® consists of 9 Danish nurseries, which
collaborate in key areas such as quality management, product
development, trend-spotting and marketing.
